Diana M. Byrne, Ph.D., assistant professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at the Stanley and Karen Pigman College of Engineering, has been honored with the 2026 Best Reviewer Award for the Journal of Water Resources Planning and Management.
The Best Reviewer Award is selected by the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Environmental & Water Resources Institute (EWRI) awards committee and Byrne will be honored at the 2026 World Environmental and Water Resources Congress in Mobile, Alabama in April.
Byrne, who has been reviewing for the Journal of Water Resources Planning and Management since 2024, also recently ended her tenure as chair of the EWRI Sustainability Committee. She is a regular presenter at annual EWRI conferences and was an invited panelist in 2022 for the discussion, “Water and the Circular Economy."
The Journal of Water Resources Planning and Management, published monthly by ASCE, covers multidisciplinary research on the management, planning and design of water resources systems. It focuses on integrating technical, economic, environmental and social aspects of water, including infrastructure, policy and modeling.
